I don't have melanoma. But I have adenocarcinoma and wide spread bony metastases it's non curable I've had it over 3 years now I've had cemotheropy which got C count down then it rises more cemotheropy. I'm on permanent hormone therapy I keep managing I have to. Hope you keep going. Best wishes.

Hi Julia,

Yes, I've had melanoma for many years. I was diagnosed Stage 1 in 1996 and then Stage 3 in 2009. It can seem a lonely place sometimes because it's not as common a cancer as some, although sadly it's on the increase. Is your husband on drug therapy? How long has he been diagnosed?

Hi Angie.Thankyou for your reply.My husband was diagnosed in 2016 treated and told it was gone.In 2018 We were told it had spread to his lymph nodes they tried to operate again but were unsuccessful .He had immunotherapy that he had a very bad reaction to so waunable to continue.He is now taking a different type daily.It has spread to his bones lungs liver and spleen.He has just had radiotherapy for the ones that were giving him the most trouble.His pain is fairly well controlled but he is constantly exausted.we don't know what stage as he does not want to know .How are you keeping at the moment..We wish you well.

I'm fine thank you - thankfully I have no evidence of disease (NED) but am still on annual check ups. I know several patients who have had a bad reaction to some of the drugs but they then have a good response to a change in medication. Hopefully this and the radiotherapy will start to show an improvement but sometimes it takes a while to work. I have sent you a friend request so we can chat by private message.
