Treatment delays

Has anyone else experienced long delays from diagnosis to start of treatment for oesophagus cancer? My husband will have been waiting 8 weeks by the time of his first oncologists appointment. With no start date for treatment in sight, he's unlikely to receive treatment within the 62 days.

Hi I know this isn't helpful but I have a different C from me being diagnosed to starting cemotheropy was over 4 months. Hope things get sorted for you best wishes.

Hi Billy.
It's not really good enough though is it. Its supposed to be 2 months. Hope your treatment goes well.

Hi again mine went fine thanks it was three years ago its non curable but I manage hope your husband gets sorted. I now it's nerve wracking waiting for things to happen, you do get there in the end. Good luck..

Thanks. The waiting is driving me nuts. Oesophagus cancer has a high recurrence rate too. All the stop start with tests n waiting for results is really stressful
