  • Hi Dexter .

i think you will find that every cancer patient and also the person caring for them has access to a specialist Mc Millan Cancer nurse or similar . We certainly were . Give them a quick ring and I’m sure they will sort it out there and then . It’s such a difficult time and you need some support . As regarding food I just give my husband a lot of puddings, semolina & custard with full fat milk and sugar .... it helps old fashioned foods Pudding for breakfast dinner and tea in this house ! . I hope you get some support soon . Definitely ring them they won’t mind at all .  We were given our nurse at our very first oncologist appointment. Did they give you the Mc Millan cancer book? Check in there you may have the phone number of your nurse jotted down in there . Mc Millan are 24 hours I believe so ring them now and get some help and advice . I hope he is at least comfortable. Much love Ginny x

No,we have been told that oncologist has referred us for palliative care but heard nothing yet.
