  • Hi there ..

So so sorry your going through this , it's really hard .. but you know I was just reminiscing a while ago ... and maybe you could chat to your mum about her childhood ... what songs meant a lot to her then .. life was so different then, and wer loosing all those memories ...

I'm 64 and remember we had a tin bath and every Friday it was put in front of the fire and pots and pans filled with water to fill the bath ... no hot water tap ... no bathroom ... outside loo ... well I digress ... but bet there's lots of funny tales your mum has from years past ...

Play her favourite music ... if there's an old t.v programme,  you can get them all on u tube ... same as songs ... take a trip down her memory lane ... Chrissie x

  • Hi many thanks for the ideas, great ideas I wouldn't have thought of.whilst at work an hour ago I had been chatting to a college&just started crying&couldn't stop.we were talking about palliative care started me off.I'm home now poured a big JD coke&going for a nap think I've worked over 60hours.we don't even know when mum will go into the hospice.all the time over next few weeks&months will be so upsetting.thank you for your time,Denise.x
