Hi all

I am looking for advice with regards to respite in a hospice.my mam has dramatically declined the last week and my dad has admitted he is majorly struggling with caring for her.as he has cared for her due to another complaint for over 30years the fact

he is admitting he can't cope is a huge thing .so do I contact hospice direct?through gp?how long do u have to wait for a place to become available on average?thank you for taking the time to read this

    So so sorry your going through this heartbraking time ... and your dad ... if I were you I'd give Marie Currie a ring tomorrow ... go on their home page and there's lots of information ... it's for those with a terminal diagnosis and their families... write down All your questions and I'm sure they will help with how to get things organised ...  let us know how it goes ...     Thank you for taking the time to reply.i shall go on there page tomorrow.mam has macmillian nurse but we are unable to contact her on a weekend.
