Sometimes the biopsy from the secondary will give a good indication of where the primary is - apparently they look different under a microscope - they then scan to check the size etc.
You could chase them up by phone tomorrow and explain how the waiting is making you anxious and that it looks like they’re going to make you wait longer than the cancer waiting time maximum.
It shouldn’t be this way but sometimes you need to pester them to get the service you need.
Good luck

Hi Dave
Ive phoned today and honestly lost my temper with them, from being told 3 weeks ago that its cancer and more tests will be needed to 3 weeks later not having a date for the tests is just stupid. Result is the man will be ringing us tomorrow or im taking it further, i gave him a deadline to ring by 4 today with some sort of answer but he rang when my husband was driving so couldnt take the call and didn't leave a message!
That sounds pretty positive - keep it assertive and keep pressing them until you get the answers you need.
:-)
Fingers crossed all scans booked in for tomorrow :)
Good luck with today’s scans :-)
