My husband is going through chemo and is very worried about getting a cold. At this time of year they are so differcult to avoid..so we are not going out etc. But somehow I seemed to have picked one up! How dangerous is it?

As chemotherapy weakens the immune system it can be dangerous for your husband to be in contact with anyone that has a cold so get in touch with his medical team as soon as you can as he may need to take some medication to stop him getting infected. If they are not available over the weekend then do give the NHS 111 service a call.
