Liver Cancer fluid/liquid consumption

I have recently learned that my sister-laws mother has been diagnosed with primary liver cancer. It's come as a real shock to the whole family, and since the news broke we have all been trying to chip and make life more comfortable, in readiness, in which I'm am sure will be testing times ahead. I'm currently in need of some advice regarding fluid/liquid consumption (drinks) as I understand food consumption becomes more of a struggle and apettite diminshes as a result of the chemotherapy treatment. I'm in the process of purchasing beaverages of bottled water with minerals and vitamins...perhaps even isotonic beaverages. So I'm wondering if anyone else has either tried these types of beaverages or has any other information regarding fluids and beaverages for suffers of liver cancer diseases, prior to and during treatments?

Thank you in advance for reading this post. Stay blessed.

  • Hello Tibet,

I am sorry to hear your sister in law's mother has been diagnosed with primary liver cancer. It must have been a real shock for everyone. You can find out more about liver cancer here and about treatment for liver cancer on this page.

I hope you will get some tips from others on the subject of fluid consumption based on their own experience of cancer or looking after a loved one with cancer. We also have some information on high calorie drinks here which I hope will be helpful to you.

Feel free also to give our nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. They may have some additional suggestions for you so don't hesitate to give them a ring and talk things through with them.
