Welcome to Cancer Chat Happymum although I'm sorry about your dad's diagnosis and the tricky situation you find yourself in.

We have had some posts on the forum in the past from members who have found themselves in similar predicaments so hopefully some of them will reply when they can to offer their advice and share their experiences with you but in the meantime try and find out as much as you can - maybe you can speak to your dad's doctor directly if you have his permission? - so you figure out when the best time to go and see him will be.
