Help with Jaundice and stage 4 pancreatic cancer

My dad stage 4 pancreatic cancer has been told he has jaundice, he has a CT scan booked for Monday.

With his first appointment coming up this week too we’ve now been told no treatment can be offered if it was to even be offered due to jaundice.

The nurse on the phone said a stent may be possible but needs to see why the jaundice is happening.

My minds just trying to process so much, does anyone have any experience with pancreatic cancer and jaundice and how it can be cured and how long it takes!

Thank you.

  • I'm sorry about the latest development on your dad's cancer journey Tinkerbell.

We have some information on our website about stents just here if you'd like to find out more but if you have any questions do give our cancer nurses a call.  I think I've given you their number before but just in case you can't find it, it is 0808 800 4040 and phone lines are open between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know you're hoping to hear from others who have had similar experience so I've have had a quick look through the forum and found this discussion that you may like to have a look at.

    Kind regards,
