My best friend has just found out she has stage 3 breast cancer. She is only 39 and has 3 very young children. How can I support her? She lives five hours away and, as I also have young children, I wont be able to offer much practical help.
Maybe frequent conversations over the phone. You can do video calls perhaps.
Another possible idea is during the holidays, when the kids are off school. You could plan a family trip down to see her, or she could come down to you.
