My husband was diagnosed Aug 2018 age 43
Stage 4 colon (right side) & liver metastatic , the cancer is on many parts of the liver .Hes had 4 chemo treatment so far. 5-fu & intrreican . When diagnosed we were told pallitive care & they could treat not cure .
My husbands been feeling really well so we came for the weekend to London to visit my family on the Friday when school broke up. We was due to travel home on Monday, but my husband was very poorly & in terrible pain I had to rush him to hospital.
We was told he had an obstruction in his bowel & they needed to operate & that they needed to take part of the bowel away.
Then they also told us they were going to try & remove his cancer tumour further down his bowel if possible.
He had the operation on Thursday afternoon & it was very successful !! The main cancer tumour in his colon is now gone and the blockage area in his colon has been removed & put back together, no stoma needed. Also some lymph nodes removed.
This happpend hundreds of miles away from where we live , & we now have to wait till Monday to find out what happens next
He still has liver mets , Is there a chance this now could be cured or still only just treated ??
