Anyone please ? Any information about CT simulation?

I'm not medically qualified .. so tried looking it up .. and cannot see nothing about that for cancer .. over here we have to agree to anything befor it is done .. if I were you I'd get some legal advice .. I personally can't see how a treatment that lasts under an hour would or could cost that .. 

Hopefully someone else will come along with more info then me .. but to me it doesn't feel right .. find out more .. even ask a Dr for advice where you are ..  l wouldn't pay it untill I had the facts .. tell them you didn't ask for it .. didn't agree to it.. and do not have that type of money ... where is your mum getting that treatment ... are you in contact with your mum by phone .. it sounds really fishy to me .. something is not right .. fingers crossed you get some advice .. Hi Chriss , thanks for your reply ,it didn’t look normal to me also , cancer treatment is expensive but for that a scan cant be more expensive than a radiation, this test called CT simulation for radiation treatment. The hospital I go is French and they told me in French “ planification 3D” . my mom lives with me and we are from Montreal.my mom doesn’t have any medical insurance and while she diagnosed with breast caner she had her private insurance which covered her treatment until her partial mastectomy, once the insurance expired I couldn’t renew it as none of the medial insurance companies  covers pre existing condition. So everything going from my own pocket , some nice doctors waived their fees but I had to pay for hospitals treatment . So when my mom was advised to go for radiation ( she didn’t need chemo ) hospital gave me an estimate which gona cost 12k for 20 treatments . And I agreed that , before she started her radiation a radiation oncologist saw her and and told her she can start he radiation within a week  , someone gona call her , so when we came to the hospital I got to know today they are not going to Take her for radiation but a hospital staff took her in a room where they will determine the position of radiation ( I didn’t get this part as she was French speaking)  so she was taken in a room and after 10 mins she came out . The same staff gave me a paper with a date of radiation.so a month later I was called by the accountant of the hospital . When I arrived she called my mom’s oncology social worker and both of them Informed me about this cost . The accountant herself was surprised too as she was not informed too , she told me for every expensive treatment radiation oncology department calls her . Anyway I asked them why I was not informed before they told me it was needed to do as without this they can’t determine how much ray she needs . then the chef of the radiation department came , I asked him even how long it takes to do this test ? He said minimum 30 mins to one hour . Then I questioned why it took only 10 mins ? How come it’s more expensive than the radiation?he was saying it’s 7 hours work after the test bla bla . I am not financially strong and I am having hard time to pay for my mom’s expenses . I asked the hospital to investigate the more about this , they said they will let me know. I don’t know what decision they will make but I wanted to know from this group as many of them went through radiation, did anyone do the CT simulation? I am wondering what should I do now , where to look in details ? I am already stress and I don’t know how to handle this ? I seeking any advice from you guys please
