Hi, I am in my second chemo for NHL and to be honest I am very surprised at the level of care the doctors and nurses give you. The medicines they give you are probably a lot better now, especially the preventative ones to save you from being sick. All I can say is take the meds, drink plenty, stay away from germs, my side effects are minimal so I'm very happy. My only concern was my hair loss but I got my wig early and I love it, my hair is so thin I wear it all day and put a sleep hat on at night to stop hair on my pillow. This for me is the most depressing thing. Go with your mum, make a day out of it, get her wig, go for lunch, buy some clothes and makeup. This is what my daughter did for me. Keep her spirits up, I wish you and your mum well xx
Hi Scones,
Thank you for your reply. First can I say all the best for your future treatment and health it’s an awful thing xx Yes we are already looking at microblading for her eyebrows. We are going to get the wig early. That’s very good advice about the sleep hat. My mum is particularly concerned about sickness and bodily functions. She’s a proud lady. Thank you very much for your reply xx best wishes
