Hello Doddjuly.  It is very sad to know you are losing your mum especially as you are going through an emotional time having recently had a new baby (congratulations on that).  Even though when we know that a loved family memer is losing their battle with their illness it is of course very upsetting when it actually happens.  My mum died from cancer not long before I had my son which was very sad; we know we have to find our feet when we grow up but  it doesn't help the sorrow involved.  Try to see it as a blessing that even when diagnosed you had the period of time when the chemo was still working and be sure she will be pleased to have lived long enough to see  her new grandchild.    I am sure you and your husband/partner will ensure your children both know about their grandmother and how she loved them.  Annie
