Husband suffering from MDS

hi, I would like to introduce myself. My husband is on his second round of in patient intensive chemotherapy for his aggressive MDS, and after this has to have a stem cell transplant. The first round of chemo didn't go so well but he was quite well after 7 weeks of isolation. Just wanted some support as the nights are long on my own and if anyone has had experience with MDS and a stem cell transplant

thank you

  • Hi loobyloobylou, we meet again ;)

I'm sorry to hear that the first round of chemo didn't go too well for your husband but fingers crossed that the second round is better. I know you're looking for others who have experience of MDS or a stem cell transplant so I've had a quick look around the forum and found the lovely [@jipster]‍. They also have MDS and have been looking to connect with others with this diagnosis so hopefully they'll pop by when they can to chat about their journey so far.

I'm not sure if you've come across this already but if not you may also be interested in joining the forum on the MDS UK patient support group website

I hope this helps loobyloobylou and wish you and your husband all the best.

    Kind regards,
