Moms long diagnosis for stage 4

I'm upset and frustrated which I'm sure many of you are. It took a month for anything to be given to us. After radiation and the aftermath......the diagnosis is non small cell metastases lung cancer with 10 lesions in the brain. I am frustrated and upset because she wants to look for alternatives and the doctors basically say she is an idiot. Any other thoughts out there?

    Hello Jamiejo; sorry to learn of your mum's diagnosis.  What are the doctors actually saying to her (I am presuming they are not say "You are an idiot" in so many words). Nothing can stop your mum searching for alternatives if she wants to do so but what is your feeling about what is happening?  Annie

    I just wish that doctors wouldn't pull away when a patient wants to try something different. Why don't they encourage things? They have chosen to basically write my mom off because she doesn't want chemo. That's why I'm angry. Sorry.....just really overwhelmed.
