What a journey

My wife dawn had a carcinoid tumour and two thirds of her lung removed 4 weeks ago , we went to her consultant yesterday and he said its all gone now , im so releived, dawns still in pain after her surgery but getting better, the staff at glenfield hospital are amazing and i thank them all with all my heart

    Well that sounds great news ... so now take every day as a gift, and follow whatever your hearts want to do ... I hope you make loads of memories for a long time to come ...

  • So pleased.  I recognised the user name straight away as I  had been following your posts and discussions with the nurses.  I followed the help and advice from Chrissie and Jolamine too - great advice as always.  This must be such a big load taken off your minds and I hope that once your wife is feeling strong enough you will go out and enjoy yourselves.  Best wishes.  Annie

  • Hi there, we will, i have to go back work soon and im going to struggle to do that, its been horrible watching dawn suffer so much she has arthritis aswell so pain is nothing new to her, shes an incredible lady, and i hope we can soon get back to normal x
