HI my dad has been diagnosed with liver cancer it's spread to under his arms and I film across his stomach. .he starts treatment next week but I really don't know if chemo is going to work this time...
Hello Arlene 78; sorry that your dad has had a return of his cancer and you don't sound too optimistic about the efficacy of the treatment this time. What does his doctor say? It is hard when this happens but I am sure you will be there to help him and find the strength to make him comfortable whatever happens - as he is your dad. Perhaps you would keep posting here to let us know how things are going and share notes with anyone in a similar situation who will read what you have written. Life is sometimes very hard. Arlene, I am sorry to hear about your situation. Liver cancer is tricky and sometimes chemo doesn't work the second time aorund. But still have hope because there are so many treatments and other chemos out there that can work! Has your dad talked to his doctor about immunotherapy? I hear it can be good with treating cancer, but not sure about liver cancer. Have faith, but like Annieliz said, life is hard. We can never know the future, so make each second with your dad count just in case. Best of luck to you and your dad!
