Hi

Hi

my daughter who has Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and learning difficulties, has recently been diagnosed with secondary ovarian cancer, it is in her stomach and pelvis. There is nothing that can be done and we have been told weeks/maybe months. She was put on steroids and now seems very well. Just wondered if anyone else has experience of this?

  • Hi there ... How crule can life be... The mind boggles ... So all I can do is say my heart goes out to you and your wonderful daughter ... I hope with all my heart you get many more days to make as many memories as you can pack in ... This is the hardest pain we can have in my opinion ..

. My youngest son has been diabetic since he was 14 he's now 37 but he had a few hypos early on, where I so nearly lost him ... And am always thinking in my head it may still get him one day and although I push this thought to the back of my head, it's always there ...

So I know a little of this pain ... So I'm sending you a big hug, from one mummy to another ... Chrisie x

  • Hi Chris

thank you for your reply. My son, 31, was diagnosed type 1 diabetic at 3 years old. He’s had a few scares when younger but much better controlled now xx
