I am sorry to hear about the additional wait for your partner’s CT results, as this is always a scary time.

Many people hope that this is a good sign, But unfortunately, the amount of time you wait has no bearing whatsoever on a person’s results. Some clinics are busier than others and with the Easter holiday upon us, there is bound to be some additional delay. Some clinics do occasionally contact people within a day or two, but that is usually because the cancer is more advanced and they are anxious to start treatment immediately. This doesn’t happen very often.

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and have been fortunate in that I have never had to wait more than a week for any of my results.

What results has your partner had so far and has any surgery or treatment been discussed yet?

I sincerely hope that you don’t have much longer to wait and that you do get some good news in the end.
