Hello, my mom was told 6 months ...maybe a year. I was told that i could go off on compassion care and help her out. Any one ever delt with this? ANY ADVICE ..please. I live in Ontario, Canada.
Hi I grew up in Ontario and live in Manitoba. I considered taking the compassion leave of absense from my job but in the end I just took my holidays. Go to the Government of Canada Web Site and search compassion leave. You can print off the required forms and fill them out. Then you will have to send them in. It will be similar to unemployment insurance I believe. Read carefully. You may need to get the Doctors to fill out some information. Hope this helps.
