my dad was recently diagnosed with stage 3A squamous cell lung cancer ( T3 N2 M0) he is 81 years old and was told surgery wasn’t an option, so Today he started his first cycle of chemotherapy. Upto yet he’s ok but tonight I have been reading so much online about how chemo kills a high percentage of patients within the first 30 days. Is this correct? I’m really scared for my Dad now and just wanted to ask the question... if he was to stop treatment how long would he have to live, compared to how long he would live if he continues the chemo and gets through it?
Theres so much I’m unsure of, and now I’m worrying whether chemo was the right thing to do.
Ive also been reading about how some patients are being cured with cannabis oil. I just want the best for my Dad so that he can live out what time he has left on this earth with the best quality of life.
