Thanks for your reply,as mom and daughter we have discussed all area's of her illness,due to her age no treatment has been accepted apart from a stent to help her swollowing!!Just feel helpless I have been with mom 24 hours every day to love and support her but it is horrible to see mom now struggling to walk a few steps!!!Going to suggest we use a wheelchair today and take her out to lift her mood,even if only for a couple of hours.

Just when you think things cannot get any worse mom now has chest infection,she is sleeping a lot . Feel totally useless, so so hard watching her struggle every day she is still walking a few steps,Love to everybody in this situation x

Hello again tigerboy; I am sorry you are having to watch your mum in distress.  Is the chest infection still as bad or has she been able to take any medication which might help her.   I know all you can do is be there with her, talk to her and just generally let your mum know that you are by her side.  Look after yourself too.  Annie
