Need help for my sister

My sister has terminal bowel cancer- she has been given a list of things she can't eat, lots of ingredients she can't have, drinks she can't have.

Is there a list of things she CAN have. Her husband has come back from shopping with 2 bags full of things to tempt her to eat and none of them are suitable.

Can anyone help? We are desperate to try and find her something.

    Hi there ... sorry I can't answer your question but if you post under "ask the nurses" they are usually here from Monday, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction, or maybe someone else may read your post, with some help ...

    We do have a lot of members on the forum that have been in a similar position when looking after their nearest and dearest and hopefully some of them will reply soon with some information and advice for you but in the meantime I just wanted to follow up on Chriss's post and give you our cancer nurses telephone number in case you wanted to chat to them about this next week.

    Their freephone number is 0808 800 4040 and are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    I hope this helps and that you're able to find options that are suitable for your sister to have soon.
