My husband has stage four nsclc. He is beginning to hurt more and he is now becoming forgetful and his feet even hurt badly. He was given one to two years. How can I be what he needs. How do I know what is the final steps when they come.

Hi Melissa,
I noticed your question about the final steps and just wanted to link you to some information we have about this on our website. I hope you find this helpful but it is quite hard to read through so iId only recommend going through it if you have someone with you or are 100% sure you are ready to know more.
Another member - [@Lucy189] - has just joined and is in a similar situation with her mum. I thought I would put you in touch with one another as it's always nice to chat to others who know what you're going through.
I hope this helps Melissa and that your husband's pain doesn't get any worse.
Kind regards,

Hi Melissa
I am also going through a similar situation my Mum has nscla stage 4. She is experiencing similar things. Very confused in pain and her legs and feet also hurt her. It’s very hard to watch a loved one go through this. I also feel like I don’t know what to expect when it’s near the end even tho I’m a band 6 community nurse with high experience with palliative care. We just need to make the most of every day we have with them and you will be exactly what he needs. He will need his wife’s support and by you just been there will be enough. If you have the support of community nurses of McMillan nurses please use them to support you also every moment is precious
really sorry to read about your husband
