Welcome to the forum Lauretta although I'm sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis.

I think the best thing to do would be to get in touch with your mum's medical team (either her directly or you with her permission) to find out what they would suggest.

Our cancer nurses are back next Tuesday so you can also discuss this with them on 0808 800 4040, between 9a.m - 5p.m if you're unable to get in touch with anyone over the new year. Also, if you use the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above and type in keywords you may find previous discussions by members with this diagnosis that have some food recommendations so do have a look around when you can.
