Hi Petra,
Do you have any contact numbers for your husband's medical team; out of hours? If so, I would recommend trying to get in touch with them as they will be in the best position to answer your question. Our cancer nurses are available tomorrow to chat to on 0808 800 4040 between 9a.m - 5p.m so you can give them a call when their lines open in the morning.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help but I hope you get an answer to your question soon.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi Ptra,
Not necessarily. Have you looked at the MacMillan or CRUK pages on ascites?
Definitely something to chat to the nurses or your husband's care team about.

Than you. It's Ascites which has been caused by cancer cells travelling to the abdomen. It is being drained off tomorrow.
