Hi, recently my father has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer. He's a heavy smoker and drinker. He got taken into his free 1 months care yesterday. We're awaiting results of the biopsy (hopefully this week).

I dont know how to approach this all, my father and I do not have a great relationship, we've communicated more times since he was admitted to hospital than we have for the previous twenty years.

Has anyone else been in a similar position? I dont know how to feel, and need to look after myself as much as my father.
