Advice on severe sweating with cancer

I’m looking for advice. My son has stage 4 bile duct cancer which has spread to his lungs and now his iliac bone. He also has developed pulmonary thrombosis which will take a fair while to clear so at the moment he can’t have bone scans or other treatment for his cancer. He is suffering terribly with severe sweating and my daughter in law is constantly washing bedding. Is there anything out there that could be used comfortably to help cut down on the disturbed nights and all the sheet washing. I know babies don’t feel their wet nappies so wondered if there are any kind of over mattress sheets that could do the same thing. Any thoughts would be much appreciated, thank you.

  • Hi

I have advanced prostate cancer and after the chemo etc I am on three monthly hormone injections, I suffered badly from hot flushes and told the urologist about this he perscribed Provera 10mg although it does not stop the hot flushes it certainly helps reduce them.

    Hope that helps

    Joe
