Hi, we went to the oncologist today and he has offered Brian a course of radiotherapy to target the tumour that has doubled in size over the last 4 months. He decided to take him up as it is only for 5 days and it is better than it growing into the skin and becoming ulcerated. He doesn't want to do anything to the other tumours in his abdomen as they are not causing any discomfort or pain. These are all mets from his original kidney cancer that was removed July 2015. The oncologist kept talking about quality of life and that he has had Paz for 6months and had a rest for 6 months and how well he has done.We both agree with what he was saying as Brian also has MS so is fighting on two fronts. So next part of treatment begins and hopefully it gives him more time. This time last year he didn't think he would see our first grand child and she is nearly eight months old. Any tips or helpful advice about radiotherapy would be appreciated. Thanks.
