Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about the trials and tribulations your Mum has been going through. It is always worrying waiting for results, but must be considerably more stressful when the doctors are baffled.

My own Mum had breast cancer for 12 years and it was only in her last year that we were told it had spread to liver, lungs, bones and brain. She had palliative care after that, but it was heart-breaking to see how quickly she deteriorated.

Watching a loved one suffer and not being able to do anything about it, is so frustrating. What you don’t realise is that you are helping her just by being there with her, by looking after her needs and by letting her know how much you love her.

I hope that she can get back to her chemo again, without any more obstacles standing in the way.
