My Dad has just started his maintenance treatment (bag) for bladder cancer. Ironically he seems to be in more pain than before the all clear. Does anyone have any helpful pain management tips? He's suffering from excruciating joint pains.
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad's pain. Is he currently taking any medication for this? Why not contact his care team? They will be used to this and should be able to suggest somethng that will deal with the pain. There are various medications that can help. Occasionally, some either don't work for an individual patient, or they stop working after a while. At other times, he may find a combination of drugs more effective.
I do hope that they can find a suitable drug that can keep on top of the pain.
