  • Hi

first I get my X-ray results Tuesday, I hope they have an idea of how to treat it, I don't take pain killers for now, because at a later date I might need them and taking them now means I would need something more powerful, I have a fairly high pain threshold so I am not to bad for now.

The tablet may be called Abiraterone this has really good results there is another one pennisone sure I ve spelt that wrong, if he's given the first one and he's ok with it should keep him in good stead for some time.

As you were saying when your told there's nothing left your heart sinks like a stone, straight away your thinking why is there nothing else with all the drugs out there.

Theres a place in Germany that are very good at dealing with PC, but expensive sorry I do not know the name it was some time ago that I read about it.

When it's your life on the line money means very little, I do hope what he's given works, the Abiraterone may be my next medication unless they find another chemotherapy, but hopefully not just yet.

    Take care

    Joe

  • Hi Everyone

How is everyone, are your fathers keeping up with their medication, it is a very stressful time while this is happening for all concerned, side effects can be so hard to deal with changing Meds is not easy to deal with either, but when your health son the line all are important.

i am not to bad have my hormone injection Tuesday the things the size of a javelin but I am kinda used to it by now ( he says gritting his teeth )

    So hope your all ok

    take care

  • Hello Joe forgive me for not being back on. How did you get on with your X-ray results Joe? Father in law is ok, no side effects with the new tablets. He's just getting over quite a bad dose there so good to see him in better shape. He had a CT scan last Tuesday & we've to see the consultant next Tuesday. I am disheartened Joe that's the feeling I feel since I heard there's nothin more after this. Don't know how to look on the bright side as I'm always trying to keep him up and looking forward. Just feels like a dead end now. Take care

  • Hi

How did the results of the scan turn out ? Glad he is doing better on the tablets, not to be meaning anything bad, but it's said these tablets if its arberaterone they can keep you going for a number of years maybe longer.

My right hand ring finger is the same, but my left hand thumb/wrist is painfull like it has a burning sensation, I ve seen physiotherapy who have given me supports for both hands but not really doing anything, still keep trying that's my motto.

    Hope all is well
