Lung cancer

Hi my mum

was diagnosed with lung cancer after she had massive tumour removed a few months ago but she's still very ill and in constant pain

the doc thinks she may have it in her liver and she's too ill for chemo or radiotherapy!  The outcome of that's the case will be palliative care. It's very distressing

  • I'm so sorry to hear this Claire. It is such a horrible and worrying time when a loved one is suffering. Do you have a palliative care nurse assigned to you yet? Hopefully when you do they will be able to sort out some better pain relief for your mum and make her more comfortable.

I'm sure some people on here might have some advice for you. I just wanted to reach out and say hello. My mum has secondary lung cancer. We are still early on in her treatment but it is incurable so we know we will unfortunately end up in the same place that you are in due course.

    Take care

  • Hi Mandy x mum is not getting any better but she is having scan today to see where else it's gone to x I'm finding it very hard to cope seeing her I. Such a lot of pain x I'm so sorry to hear about your mum x my mum is falling over, constantly crying we have nurses coming out to control pain but it doesn't seem to be working x
  • So sorry to hear this Claire. So hard to see this happen. Keep pushing for more if you feel it's not working. Everyone is different and sometimes it takes some trial and error to find the best meds for each person. I really hope your mum can feel more at ease soon. Xxx
