    Hello Gaywood,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis.

The sad thing is that all we can do with a cancer diagnosis is to fight it with all our might - we can't change it.

This must have come as a terrible shock to both of you. You describe how you feel as if you were in a whirlwind. This is a good description as everything moves so quickly with treatment. Have they decided on what treatment he is going to have yet?

What a pity that your daughters will be leaving home soon to go to uni. I am sure that they will support you as well as they can along with their brother.

Life is never fair. It is unfortunate that your husband has been struck by this at such a young age.

Please keep us informed about how he gets on. There is always someone here whenever you feel like talking.

    Stay strong.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • thank you for replying appreciate it. my husband chris was diagonised back in june when they found a tumor on his pancreas which at the time was quite small. once we had seen the surgeon at whitechapel who i must say was lovely he decided to go straight in and remove the tumour upon which chris would then have chemo for 6 months following. unfortunately when they opened chris up they discovered tthat the tumor had in fact grown (not spread thank god) and the best course of action now was to have 3 months of chemo where fingers crossed the tumour will shrink and they can then go back in to re-operate. Chris only had the operation a month ago and we are due to start chemo in about 10 days time. thank you for listening xxxx
