Hello to others here.
I am caring for my step-daughter who has recently under gone surgery to remove a sarcoma cancer called Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour or (MPNST) for short. She is 13 days post surgery.
She also is diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type1. It is benign tumours on nerve endings both internal and external all over her body. On occasion these benign tumours change and become malignant, and one was found in her chest.
When the diagnosis came l wanted to find other parents or relatives or even friends of someone diagnosed with the same sarcoma cancer and couldn't. I have come to realise cancer is cancer. It's a lonely place for the person diagnosed and often lonely for the parent too.
Like others l cannot fix or change the situation or make it better. I just want to get it right for her.
