New to the group.
My husband had cancer in his appendix which had been burst for a while. He had surgery to remove appendix and some of large bowel/intestine (a right hemicolectomy). Didnt know until after the op that he had cancer in his appendix. He had 6 months of chemo (oxaliplatin with 5FU). Told was all clear. Since his op in 2016 he's had stomach pains. After chemo stopped back pains returned. Scan and blockage in bowel revealed cancer returned in peritoneum and small bowel. Operating not an option for him. It will shorten his life expectancy. This time chemo will beIrinotecan with 5FU and Folinic acid (FOLFIRI). He will be scanned after 6 months to see if there's any change in the tumours.
I'll be honest, I'm frightened for the future and how we will manage as and when he gives up work completely.
