My mum just got diagnosed with secondary liver cancer today. My head is in a spin. She's going for a scan in 2 weeks to see where the other cancer is. This isn't sinking in
Don't be alarmed about things not sinking in. It is our mind protection for the good being of our sanity. Wait for the appointment and find out the full story. This is were we have to get tough and support our parent. Just be there and keep a positive mind. Sounds harsh and almost easy for me to say. No it isn't I have been there and your world stops. Find out where mum stands and ask questions if you wish. You will not be alone and others on here will be able to talk. It's hard believe me but keep strong at this moment.
