Carer

Hi . I'm pat and new to this. I care for my husband who has terminal prostrate cancer. It just seems every day a new health problems shows up. Hate to watch him suffer. I tend to take each day as it comes.

  • Hello Pat It is a hard thing to watch someone you love suffering with cancer. There are no guide books to tell you what to do, it can be a lonely place to be as well. As you say each day brings its own variety of challenges and you just have to meet them head on. My son was diagnosed at the end of april last year with stage 4bowel cancer and full liver mets. We tried to make every day a good day and make memories etc, obviously there was a lot of times when this was not possible due to chemo and problems from that. It all seems a bit surreal now as he died in Jan this year and we are having to learn to live a life without his physical presence. I feel for you in this situation there is nothing I can really say to help you through this but hope you have family and friends to support you and your husband and send you lovexxx leslie
