Hi, Susan.. I have just been through cancer with my wife. Let me just say as the tv advert says. You are not alone. Speak to the MacMillan team and ask them for guidance and also the nurses looking after your mum. Cancer scared me too and when you talk to others in the same boat you understand more. The outcome for me was not good as my wife was very very poorly. But do not give up and encourage your mum to stay strong. Don't be frightened of cancer. Just ask advise along the way and be assured many are here to listen and be there when needed.Andy
