Another newbie

Hello, I have just found this chat line.   My husband has inoperable oesophagus cancer and hopefully  is about to have a stent put in today to help him swallow anything. I am supposed to start a cleaning out procedure today prior to a colnoscopy tomorrow and so will be unble to visit later! This would happen at the same time and has been in the diary for 3 weeks! He only wants me visiting him-a very proud man  but our daughters popped in quickly to see him 3 days ago without us telling him which he enjoyed. Do I  postpone my procedure or let them pop in and fingers crossed. I've been worrying all night.

    I just wanted to pop in say hello and hopefully offer some support. 

    As you say - Murphy's Law that these things happen at the same time and with your procedure for tomorrow having been scheduled 3 weeks ago, there's nothing to say that if you delay it that there might not be a "clash" again in the future. 

    If you do decide to go ahead with your prep ready for tomorrow, are you able to speak to your husband tonight? Maybe one of your daughters could go to visit and take a phone so that you could speak to each other? 

    Whatever your decision Debjane, I hope that you manage to get some rest today after a sleepless night. Do let us know how your husband gets on today and best wishes for your procedure whenever that takes place.
