How can I help her ?

I'm so worried about my mum. She is so depressed about what is happening to her that I don't know how I can help her. It's so hard to see her be so down when she is the life and soul of our family. I've suggested that she go and speak to Macmillion at the hospital but i know she won't and my dad won't force her to do anything?

My heart goes out to you. I am also in the same situation with my mum. The only way I find to help her is to listen, be there as much as I can but most of all I try to feed my mum with as much positive energy as possible.

Thanks so much for that. I am staying positive but it's hard to shut my brain off from it all. Just wish I could wave a magic wand and she would be better. What gets me is that she is such a strong amazing woman who has raised four strong and independent woman but this has just knocked her and I can't seem to help out that spark of life back in her eyes.

Hi melissa. Iam also in the same situation. Also iam very sorry to hear about your mum. My mum is currently fighting her 3rd battle with cancer she was recently diagnosed with secobdary brain tumors. She was very depressed for a long time she would not go out of the house wouldnt want to see anyone. I tried to get her out but i think she just needed time to process everything. She also had steriod induced psychosis for 3 weeks abd that was tough.. Just be there for your mum but also give her time to process this and get ready to fight.
