dads oesophagus cancer worries

Hi my dad was diagnosed with oesophagal cancer on october 31st 2016.It is inoperable and he gad a stent put in.Dad is due to go to hospital on monday because he keeps bringing up white bubblesand they think his stent might be blocked or moved.The worrying thing is he is losing weight because he is livin off of soups and is only managing 1 build up drink a day.Is there anyone else who has had this and how do you encourage someone to eat something other than soup Many thanks Karen

    My dad was diagnosed in Jan with oesophageal cancer, he is struggling to eat as well.  We were actually at the emergency rooms last night to get him on a drip.  I am not sure where your father is in his treatment, but my dad has just completed 5 weeks of radiation and he was managing to get some things down during treatment but since it's completed he feels so much worse and he is now only having three protein shakes a day.

    Unfortunately I don't have any advice for you as we are struggling with the very same thing and I am also trying to find something he can keep down.
