Depressed

My husband has got cancer of the pancreas and the liver, he is having palliative chemo, the cancer has not got any bigger and it's not spread thank god,

but he has had really bad Dizziness now for 7 months and it's getting him down, no one knows why and it is now making him so depressed he has been in tears all day, and this is not like him at all.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Rainbowspirit although I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis and for the reason it brings you here.

I can't imagine how difficult this must be for both of you, especially as no one seems to be able to figure out why the dizziness is so bad. Is it possible for him to talk to people in a similar situation at all, through a support group perhaps? If you're unsure how to see if there are any in your local area make an appointment with his GP or medical team and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Our cancer nurses are only a phone call away as well. If you would like to chat to someone about this a bit sooner do give them a call. They are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040, which is free to call from a UK landline.

Post as much as you need to Rainbowspirit and remember that we are always here if you need us.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
