My mums just been diagnosed Pancreatic cancer

I'm lost and don't know how to help my mum . She's 60 years old and in a lot of pain, she only was diagnosed last Thursday so this Fri will get her biopsi to see if she has a fast developing cancer cells or slow then treatment will be discussed . I read there is no cure or treatment that will work, it's already spread to her Liver and both Lungs . How is this diagnosed so late after months and months visits to docs and hospitals . My lovely mum ...what can I do to help her 

  • Hang in there, the early days are so difficult while you wait for all the results cos they can't really give you any definitive answers till they get the results of the tests and that will  give you the way forward. She shouldn't be in pain, if she's in hospital they should be on top of her pain relief, if not the GP first instance or contact your local Macmillan/Marie Curie to see if they can help. As I said in my first post on this chat line, such a lonely place to be
