Seizure

My sister had a tumour removers in September, January seen a slight froth in the area the tumour was removed,

2 weeks ago she was given stereo static radiotherapy , on Tuesday she had a massive seizure followed by 5 small Ines, we left hospital wednesday with steroids and told it was due to swelling,

tonight here she is saying she feels tingling in her temples which is something she had on Tuesday,

I'm here on my own with her,

if she has another seizure do I call 999 again, or do I just reassure her and keep her safe until it's over?

  • Hello Babsj71,

I am sorry to hear your poor sister had a seizure recently and ended up in hospital and that she is experiencing tingling sensations in her temples again.

If she does have another seizure, don't hesitate to seek professional help by ringing 999 or taking her to A and E. If you do worry about the tingling in her temples she is getting tonight, it is worth ringing 111 to talk to someone and ask for their advice on what to look out for for example.

We hope that your sister is ok and that she has a peaceful night. She is lucky to have you by her side to keep an eye on her!

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Babs,

That sounds pretty complicated. My wife had SRS a couple of years ago, she was told to expect some side effects but to give the hospital a ring if there were any concerns. It might be worth giving them a ring in the morning and explaining about the tingling in her temples. I'd definitely ring 999 if she has a a seizure, just as I would for anyone else.

    Best wishes

    Dave

  • Thanks Dave,

she had a peaceful night, and has continued to get stronger without any more seizures xx
