Hi just want to share the condition of my brother. Just last month my brother was diagnosed of stage 4 ear cancer i really dont know what kind of cancer he had but a tumor on the left ear. I was really shocked when i heard that news from my mother i don't know what to feel or even what to do..The first thing that comes to my mind is that my brother is dying which  makes my world ruined. I really want to help him with his fight for his life but i dont know how, i also having financial problem so i think i cannot help him when it becomes to financial.

Is it really possible to survive stage 4 cancer? if ever yes, how?

Anyone of you guys have idea what kind of cancer does my brother have?

Does it really mean that having stage 4 cancer is the end for those people who had have it?

I really love my brother and i want him to leave forever :(

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Pudong although I'm sorry to hear about your brother's diagnosis and for the reason it brings you here.

    It can be a real shock finding out a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer as many of our members know and I'm sure they will post soon to offer their support and advice about ways you can support your brother. You may not realise it but just posting here and trying to find out all you can shows you are supporting your brother already which I'm sure would be of great comfort to him at this time. Also, just letting someone know you're there for them when they need you can be the greatest support of all.

    I see you mentioned you're not sure what type of ear cancer your brother has. We have some general information on our website about different types of ear cancer here and here but the best way to find out more about would be to talk to your brother or mum directly as they will be able to tell you more about what the doctors told them about your brother's diagnosis.
