My dad was diagnosed with oesophageall cancer in Oct 2015. He was told without treatment he had 3 months to live with treatment 1-2 years. He had radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the cancer had also spread to lymph nodes in the liver and stomach! We found out in June that all tumours had shrunk but now his tumours have grown from 9mm to 20mm - he restarted chemo but has been terribly ill so has had to stop all treatment. The last week I have seen him deteriorate - he is constantly being sick & starting to sleep a lot and has no energy. We are meeting consultant tomorrow!

I keep wondering how much longer he has. We lost Mam last May to cancer and I am still grieving from her loss but I promised her I would look after dad. I know how horrendous all the financial stuff is and dad is starting to talk about sorting it all out. It feels like here we go again but I need to know how much longer so I can prepare mentally as its just too soon after losing mam to bear.
