After 4 rounds of pazopanib, immuno- therapy drug for kidney cancer, the oncologist said today the tumours haven't spread or got any bigger.They haven't shrunk because it's not usual chemo. We think this is positive but have decided to still cancel the cruise we booked for May as 2 weeks might be too much for Brian after weeks of doing very little. So there is hope for all you out there with Stage 4. The oncologist said he could be on the pills indefinitely, gosh no wonder the NHS is struggling as he must be costing them a fortune!
We have now got used to the idea that this is not going to go away but at least he will see our first grandchild, only 3 weeks before due date, also coping well with the drug, only side effects now are tastebuds gone and peeling feet. Can cope with those.
Keep taking the pills and hope it continues to halt the growth of the tumours and keep thinking positive.
